Gaggia Filterholder Seal SS Boiler Newgen(Classic 2015)
If water leaks around the filter holder on a Gaggia Classic V2 2015 or compatible Newgen machine, a worn group gasket is one of the most common causes and should normally be replaced first.
Common Symptoms This Part May Fix
- Water leaking around the filter holder during brewing
- Poor sealing between the filter holder and group head
- The coffee holder locking too loosely or too tightly
- A hardened, split, flattened, or compressed group gasket
This genuine Gaggia group gasket seals the filter holder on compatible stainless-steel-boiler machines. It fits Gaggia Classic V2 2015 RI9403 / SIN035U and Gaggia New Espresso 06 Dose, Pure and Colour models. Repeated heating, brewing and filter holder movement can gradually harden or compress the gasket and reduce its sealing performance.
Trusted by repair technicians and used in professional coffee machine repairs.
Important Information
If water is leaking from around the filter holder, we recommend replacing the group gasket first. At the same time, inspect the filter holder locking ring in the group head. The locking ring contains plastic guide rails that can wear over time and may prevent the portafilter from locking tightly enough to form a reliable seal.
If replacing the group gasket does not stop the leak and the plastic rails are visibly worn or the coffee holder still locks loosely, the next step is usually to replace the filter holder locking ring.
Group gaskets are wear items and we generally recommend replacing them every 4 years as part of routine servicing, even if there are no obvious signs of damage.
Compatibility
This gasket fits Gaggia Classic V2 2015 RI9403 / SIN035U, Gaggia New Espresso 06 Dose RI8153, and Gaggia New Espresso 06 Pure and Colour RI8154 / RI9302 models. Please use the compatibility checker and exploded diagrams above to confirm your exact machine model before ordering.

Common Questions
Should I replace the group gasket first if the filter holder is leaking?
Yes. In most cases, the group gasket is the first part to replace when water leaks from around the filter holder during brewing.
What should I check if a new group gasket does not stop the leak?
Inspect the filter holder locking ring in the group head. Its embedded plastic guide rails can wear over time, causing the portafilter to lock too loosely. If the rails are worn, replacing the locking ring is usually the next repair step.
Should I replace this gasket during routine servicing?
Yes. Replace it if it is hardened, split, flattened, compressed, or no longer seals correctly. We also generally recommend replacement every 4 years because group gaskets are wear items.
